Reaching for the Sun

Two clusters of tulips leaning toward each other across a wide sky, stretching up on tall dark stems like they are chasing the last bit of light in the sky. Deep reds and blush pinks build up thick with acrylic, teal grounding the base like early spring grass. There’s a stillness in the negative space between the flowers. It’s room to breathe, room to notice how far they are willing to reach together.
A Garden of My Own

Every bloom here fought for its spot. Built up thick with spackle before a single drop of paint went down, this one is less "painted" than sculpted — a whole overgrown plot of flowers, no two alike, crowding a soft blush sky. It's the kind of garden you plant for no one but yourself.

A magenta ground with color pulled straight down it. Orange, coral, and deep red dragged in vertical strokes with a palette knife until the canvas looked like it was caught mid-motion. Each pass left its own texture, raised and uneven where the paint built up. There's a nostalgic warmth in the palette, the kind that comes back to you in flashes, not full scenes
Slip and Slide

Fluid horizontal bands of red, magenta, and teal spill and pool across a cool sea-glass ground, edges melting into each other where the paint was still wet enough to move. There's a looseness here, almost playful like the color got away from itself and decided that was the point. Loud, glossy, a little chaotic in the best way
Bits of You, and Bits of Me

Built the same way as "Just Beneath the Surfaces" — palette knife through layer after layer until the canvas took on that woven, fabric-like texture but this one carries something more personal in the title. There's a faint shape pressed into the purple, almost a silhouette, like two outlines that have folded into each other until you can't quite tell where one ends and the other starts. That's the whole idea: nothing is ever really just yours or just mine once you've spent enough time together.
Sweet Subtlety

The title is a bit of a wink since there's nothing quiet about this pink. But look closer and the subtlety reveals itself: gold flecks catching the light beneath the surface, deep plum shadows tucked into every ridge where the palette knife dragged through. It's proof that even the loudest color can hold something soft if you're willing to get close enough to find it.

This one leans and reaches — blooms tipping sideways under their own weight, stretching toward a warm pink sky. Built up with nearly two pounds of spackle before any color went on, the flowers here have real dimension, like they're pushing themselves up out of the canvas. Loud, a little unruly, and completely unbothered about matching anything else in the room.
Wildflower Wonderland

A whole field crowded into one frame — every bloom a different color story, packed shoulder to shoulder against a coral sky. Brush and palette knife trade off throughout, some petals soft and layered, others built up thick and jewel-toned with oil pastel worked right into the paint. It's the kind of overgrown, anything-goes garden that only exists in imagination — equal parts chaos and celebration.
Confetti Spritz

Pure celebration on canvas! Orange and teal poured on and let loose to swirl and dance together, bright blocks of plum and magenta stacked in alongside them like party streamers. Loopy white scribbles scatter across the surface like actual confetti caught mid-toss. Playful, fizzy, a little chaotic in the best way. This one feels like the exact moment the party starts.
Turquoise Letters

There's something underneath this one. Loops and marks laid down in the earliest layers, then painted over and built up again and again, left to surface only where the paint allowed. It felt like writing a letter you rewrite a dozen times before it's ready to send: the first draft never disappears completely, it just sits under everything that comes after. What you see is the final version, but the earlier attempts are still in there, holding the whole thing together.
